New Toyota Protection Plan Improves Vehicle Leasing Experience

You never know what's going to happen to your new Toyota vehicle over the years. And while the automaker has received widespread praise for its commitment to vehicle value and reliability, no car stays perfect forever. That's why Toyota has come up with a plan to ease the fears of accident-prone consumers looking to lease a Toyota model.

Dubbed the Excess Wear & Use (EWU) Protection Plan, the newly formulated package waives excess wear and use charges for Toyota Financial Services (TFS) lease customers. Under EWU, drivers need not fear heavy fees for the following misfortunes should they occur:

-          Interior cuts, burns or stains
-          Broken or scratched windshield, window or mirrors
-          Missing Toyota parts
-          Damage to tires, rims or hubcaps
-          Damaged bumpers, body dents, dings or scratches

In addition to covering these issues, the EWU plan also simplifies the claims process for consumers by eliminating claims forms, deductibles and reimbursements. Wondering why Toyota would take such measures for its drivers? Mike Groff, TFS Group VP of Sales, Marketing and Product Development, says, "We want to help our customers avoid unexpected charges when they return their vehicle at lease-end and provide a hassle-free, customer-friendly claims process."1

As we pointed out earlier, no vehicle sees an accident-free life...no matter how dedicated the automaker might be. That's why East Coast Toyota is so glad to see that Toyota takes it upon itself to help consumers face the bumps and bruises that can come with leasing a vehicle. To learn more about the EWU Protection Plan, feel free to contact our team members at any point in time, visit our financing center or stop by 85 State Hwy 17 Wood Ridge, NJ 07075 in person.
